Golf Fitness, Health
Always warm up as it will help prevent injury and if you are feeling sluggish, (which many are feeling right now) getting a little warm up in can help get you going.
Walk or light jog 5-10 minutes, arm circles, bicycle, jumping jacks, jump rope—all good ways of warming up.
Our friends at FX Fitness are providing us with one month free! Workouts, golf specific training for all levels, stretching, nutrition and other advice. Thanks, Adam!

TPI Titleist Performance Institute
No gym? No problem. There are a bunch of workouts you can do at home. Some are easy, some are intense.
We take it for granted. But right now, the importance of healthy lungs and being aware of how breathing can help us deal with stress and anxiety is more important than ever. And once this is over, it will serve you well as a golfer.
Practice Items for the Home
Putting Mat
The monotony of rolling the ball into the cup becomes like a meditation.
In a pinch, line up a few yoga mats or put on a low cut rug. Put down a target and set up your own challenge to keep it interesting. (Make 9 out of 10 from 5 feet, etc.)
Putter Ball Return
If you order the putting mat, you may as well get one of those things that kicks the ball back to you.
Hitting Net
You can practice in your back yard.
Foam Balls
They are not great but will do in a pinch. I like to hit them at a column on my porch. If struck perfectly, it comes right back to me.
Chipping Practice Nets
3 nets of varying sizes.
Grip Correction
This particular item has dual purpose, it also helps with club speed and release. But if you just need help with your grip, order Grip Trainer for golf and make sure you get the correct handedness.
FOR JUNIORS
US Kids Yard Club for Juniors includes a molded grip on the club as well as several games your junior can play in the backyard with limited flight balls (included).
Various Programs You Can Do at Home
PGA JR League Games, Learning Programs
The PGA JR League has a bunch of great games and ideas for juniors to do at home. I recommend all juniors take a look and explore.
LPGA JR Girls Golf
Lots of ideas for girls to explore the game and see what other girls are doing.
USGA Online Rules Quizes
Only the USGA could find a way of making a rules quiz online so much fun! (Okay, so it’s just a rules quiz but this is a good time to see what you know.)

Tempo and Rhythm Swings After a Long Lay Off
Go out into your back yard or nearby park and take some swings. Tempo and rhythm swings feel good and will help you get back into the playing mode. You don’t need a ball, just a club and a little space. I took this drill right out of the Ben Hogan play book.
Getting Back On The Course
You may find yourself needing to carry your clubs do to a lack of carts or push carts.. If that is the case, watch this video for some good tips to save your back and a lot of energy.
Putting—The Gate Drill
Set up two sleeves of balls approximately 4-6 feet from hole.
This drill helps with solid contact.
